The End of America Part 1

235 plus years ago our Country broke away from oppression, from a monarchy to a government of the people, by the people and for the people. It was called the grand experiment. Until this time, governments were ruled by families that continued generation after generation of royal rule. Some leaders called themselves deity, some royalty but that left the masses that were being ruled in the unenviable position of being ruled, or forced to worship a flawed human as a god.

Some of the ideas our Founding Fathers used to structure their new government came from Roman law, many came from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings and the New Testament.

This Grand Experiment began and initially honored what was considered then as the most basic of all moral principles. The Bible. Today, the Bible is ridiculed as history, banned from classrooms and forbidden in many legislative sessions. Regardless of your belief system, the concepts of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and "love your neighbor as you love yourself" meant that the people holding to these simple rules were respectful of each other, of a person's individual rights to believe as they wish. It meant that society operated within certain moral boundaries that were not crossed.

We are now almost 60 years in to four generations of people raised from infancy who expect others to care for them. Many are cared for throughout their lives by social programs meant to end the poverty they are in. The move away from moral boundaries has led to this entitlement mentality group for whom their day to day survival must depend on government handouts and redistribution of wealth.

In a TEOTWAWKI situation, the lifelong reliance on a governmental system that will no longer feed and care for them will lead many of these people to starve while waiting for the government to save them. Some, raised with no moral boundaries, will steal, kill and destroy just to eat one more day. The class warfare scheme authored by Marxist radicals will revert from jealousy and anger at the rich to jealousy and anger at those who aren't starving. That would be you and me because we have prepared.

Look at the OWS protests. These protesters are the culmination of decades long entitlement mentality, moral equivalency and liberal policies. Their goals are scattered and unorganized to the nth degree. And yet, during these protests, now approaching 6 months worth, leave millions of dollars in damage, trashed park areas, public urination into hot dog carts, defecation on police cars, several innocent people injured, children put in the front line of the fight against their parents and at least three people dead. People are dying and the protesters don't really know why they are there. What do you think is going to happen when these same people, and the others that join them are trying to survive?

You cannot unhinge or separate the adherence to a set of moral beliefs from the operation of a peaceful and productive society. It quite simply does not work. That is what was meant when a great American said, "America will remain great, only as long as it remains good."
